EMDR Therapy

Helping Painful Experiences Feel Less Stuck

Sometimes distressing experiences continue affecting us long after they are over. Even when we logically know we are safe, our nervous system may still respond with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, shutdown, hypervigilance, or feeling stuck in old patterns.

EMDR therapy helps the brain and body process unresolved experiences so they no longer feel as emotionally activating in the present.

At Inner Cosmos Counseling, EMDR is offered in a collaborative, supportive, and paced way that prioritizes emotional safety and nervous system regulation throughout the process.

My Approach

My approach to EMDR is relational, supportive, and paced thoughtfully.

I believe trauma work should not feel rushed or overwhelming. Building safety, trust, and emotional regulation is an important part of the process.

EMDR is integrated into therapy in a way that feels collaborative and tailored to your individual needs.
